After I have recently watched the movie The Meg, I couldn’t not to pay attention to beautiful watches that the actors are wearing in it.
So I did a bit of research and found the watches the the actors in “The Meg” are wearing.

The Meg movie
The Meg is a 2018 science fiction action thriller film directed by Jon Turteltaub and written by Dean Georgaris, Jon Hoeber, and Erich Hoeber, based on the 1997 book Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror by Steve Alten.
The film is about a 75-foot-long (23 m) Megalodon named the Megalodon who wreaks havoc on a deep-sea submersible. The Meg was released in the United States on August 10, 2018.
The movie stars Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Ruby Rose, Winston Chao, Rainn Wilson, Cliff Curtis, Shuya Sophia Cai, and Page Kennedy.
The Great White shark is known to be one of the most feared predators on the planet. It can weigh up to 20 tons and grow more than 20 feet long. (the largest on record measured 24 feet) Hollywood built on the fear when they made a movie in 1997 called “Jaws” that created a whole new generation of fear of sharks.
But what does the Meg have to do with all this? Well, the movie is a science fiction shark attack movie where a giant prehistoric shark terrorizes our oceans.
The shark in the movie is referred to as the Megalodon, which is a real creature that lived 2.5 million years ago. The creature lived in the present-day Atlantic Ocean and they were known to grow to around 40 feet.
But we are not here to talk about the movie, we are here to talk about the watches that the actors are wearing in it.

2. Ruby Rose – Seiko Prospex Solar SSC295
The Seiko Prospex Solar is a smartwatch that is part of the big family of Seiko’s Prospex dive watches. Prospex is an abbreviation for the Professional Specification, and it means that the watch has been created with professional use in mind.
The standard version of it comes with a green Nylon strap but in the movie you will see it with a black rubber strap which is in my opinion is more beautiful and looks less like a military watch which is great for a daily use.
It is a time-tested Seiko product and comes with a solar-powered quartz movement, a tough solar case, and a stainless steel case. The watch’s features include a digital compass, a thermometer, an altimeter, a barometer, and a sunset and sunrise time function.
Seiko Prospex Solar SSC295 A solar powered, high-performance sports watch that delivers outstanding precision for diving, surfing, snorkeling, and other water activities. With a 200-meter water resistance rating, screw-down caseback, and a beautiful black dial with silver hands, markers, and date window, the Prospex Solar is capable of withstanding the elements.

3. Li Bingbing – Carl F. Bucherer Patravi ScubaTec
This gorgeous new Carl F. Bucherer Patravi Scubatec watch is a real head-turner. The watch can be seen in the movie The Meg, starring Jason Statham and Li Bingbing.
The watch is called the Patravi Scubatec Swiss-made and is water-resistant up to 500 meters. The watch is made of stainless steel and features an alligator leather strap, a unidirectional rotating bezel, and a clear case back. The dial features red numerals, luminescent hands, and a date window. It also features a chronograph function with a central seconds hand.
This is the second version of the Patravi ScubaTec watch from Carl F. Bucherer that can be configured in terms of color and material combinations.
The watch in the film is the one with the gold bezel with black and blue inlay and a stainless steel case version and it’s measurements are 44.6mm in diameter, 13.4mm in thickness, and 52mm from lug-to-lug.
